Proton-Coupled Reduction of an Iron Cyanide Complex to Methane and Ammonia #chempaperaday 272

Catalytic reduction of cyanide is difficult and there are not many systems that can do that. Of course, enzymes can do this. But, we still need a well-defined synthetic system that can do it. Here is a nice paper and great synthetic work. They show that they can reduce cyanide to methane and ammonia.
