Redox-Active Metal Complexes for Anticancer Therapy #chempaperaday 279

This is a small "review" of these complexes by Sadler who is one of the biggest in the field if not the biggest. These complexes offer a different mechanism of action that the "classical" complexes like cisplatin. Potentially, you can manipulate/modify the redox chemistry of cancer cells or you can release the "drug" molecule by redox changes. Or they can be used in combination therapy with other anticancer drugs. I think this is a promising area of study and I have big interest in these complexes and their reactivity.
