Structural and functional synthetic model of mono-iron hydrogenase featuring an anthracene scaffold #chempaperaday 280

It looks like the C, N, S coordination to the iron center in mono-iron hydrogenase is very important. Here we see that the fac coordination mode gives and active species contrary to "mer" version. The complex is able to activate H2 and show some C-H hydride abstraction ability.
